It’s challenging to pinpoint exactly when this path began, as the desire to have more control over my work and designs has always been a part of me. I moved to Prague in 2017 without even knowing if I would be able to work in my field of interest because of the language barrier. However, to my surprise, that barrier didn't block my way; it simply led me down a different path. After several years of collaborating with various architectural and interior design studios in Prague, the dream of establishing my own furniture design studio started to grow and feel more real.

I wanted to express my vision of design and showcase my background as a Brazilian designer in my new home, Prague. Gradually, with a lot of love and support from various professionals, family, and friends, this dream began to take shape. Bearq was born out of this desire to produce pieces that reflect my expression of contemporary Brazilian furniture design.

In my works, I often incorporate Brazilian materials, and some pieces are a clear ode to the natural beauty of my home country. Bearq was founded with the purpose of blending my heritage with my current environment. While integrating Brazilian elements into interior design can sometimes be challenging, I find that creating furniture provides the perfect medium to truly express who I am as a designer.
